A mop , also known as a Kentucky mop, Spanish mop or mini mop, is a cleaning tool used to clean floors.
A mop consists of two parts, sometimes detachable. The upper part is a stick, the lower part consists of cotton threads or narrow strips of mop. In traditional dry mopping, the mop is regularly thrown out through an open window by making a quick, rotating movement. Nowadays, wet mopping is often used. The mop is then dipped into the soapy water with the lower part, which then partially absorbs the moisture, and the lower part is then rubbed over the floor with some pressure.
A mop is considered unhygienic by some, because the dirt, and therefore the bacteria, is not easily rinsed out, and is therefore often only spread further. If the mop is not cleaned properly after use, it is a breeding ground for bacteria. That is why you can wash the ShopXPress mops at a high temperature and they are reusable.
